Women’s Issues Information Centre (WIIC) was established in April 1996, after the completion of activitiesby the Secretariat of the Lithuanian preparatory Committee for the UN Fourth World Conference on Women.
It is an umbrella women’s NGO promoting gender equality policies through education, public campaigns, lobbying policy makers and civil society, seeking equal rights and opportunities for women and men, raising public awareness on equal opportunities and gender equality, improving the position of women in all spheres of life.
