Immediate objectives:
1. Increased and consolidated capacity of democratic and representative trade union in Egypt to participate in social dialogue that supports economic growth and employment generation.
2. The knowledge of social partners on potentials of Social Dialogue in Egypt increased and future action plan agreed upon.

Development objective:
Industrial peace and efficient social dialogue mechanisms in the labour market and developed sound democratic trade union organisations have contributed positively to economic growth and job generation in Egypt.

Working methods:
Training of trade union representatives in organisational development and administration, negotiation and democratic trade unions . Organisational development workshop. Exchange visits with Denmark. Development of joint policy papers. Donor coordination.
Support for establishing a Labour Market Information Institute. Pilot project on social dialogue. Awareness raising of labour market issues. Study tours for Trade union and employers’ representatives and workers on social dialogue and OSH.
