The Italian Pensioners’ Union (SPI) is the general union of pensioners, and the elderly members of the CGIL. It organizes and protects pensioners of all categories of work, subject to any pension scheme.

Born in 1948, the same year as the Italian Constitution, the SPI CGIL advocates the implementation and, in particular, the value of solidarity, promoting the equality of women and men in a society without privilege or discrimination, in which are always recognized the fundamental rights of the person.

The SPI CGIL ROME and LAZIO is the structure responsible for the city of Rome and to the entire region, policies relating to pensioners and the elderly.
