SINTTRAHOL, the union for domestic workers in the Lima region, was created as a result of the project with IPROFOTH, which received FNV support. It was created and recognised by the Ministry of Labour in 2009. Its mission is to protect the labour and human rights of domestic workers and combat all forms of discrimination. SINTTRAHOL is affiliated to the CGTP and maintains close relations with a range of national and international organisations, for example, the ILO, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Women and CONLACTRAHO (the regional confederation). The executive committee consists partly of former members of the IPROFOTH executive committee and all of them have many years of trade union and administrative experience.

At the beginning of 2010, the union had approximately 160 members and an enthusiastic executive committee, whose members gave active support to the ILO Convention on Domestic Workers, adopted in 2010.
