RedLat

The Latin American Network for Research on Multinational Corporations (Redlat) is an initiative created in October 2005, bringing together trade unions and research institutions about the world of work. 7 Latin American countries, with the common purpose of deepening knowledge the social and labor behavior of multinational companies and uses the information collected to boost union action.

Its main purpose is to conduct comparative research in multinationals operating in the continent as on issues related to labor rights, the environment and social responsibility, among other matters of interest to the union environment and consumers that relate to companies.

Currently, the Instituto Observatório Social is responsible for the Secretariat of the Network Operations. The Redlat has major support from the Dutch trade union federation FNV since the beginning of its activities.
