Gregoria Apaza is aiming to decrease the vulnerability of young women in La Paz/El Alto by addressing gender based violence and its related risks in terms of sexual and reproductive health and rights. They increase awareness and provide information on risks around violence against women, unwanted pregnancies, maternal mortality, and the available services to protect themselves. They directly address the needs of young women in relation to gender based violence and sexual and reproductive health and rights and economic empowerment and have this year started with a martial arts program, judo, a soccer league and workshops to enhance self-esteem, educate on violence against women, women’s rights, economic empowerment and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
