Objective: Promote worker and community-driven solutions to advancing decent work and environmental protections in the energy and extractive sectors

To raise awareness among and between unions, environmental, and community groups about the impact of extractive and energy sectors on workers, their communities, and the environment, and opportunities for coalitions to advance safe and sustainable employment, the Center will support union and coalition advocacy efforts that promote worker and community-driven solutions for decent work and environmental protections. Project countries include Ukraine, Colombia, South Africa, Indonesia, and Nepal. Activities will include awareness-raising workshops and ongoing mentorship supporting coalition-building and inclusive advocacy.
