Global: Equality and Inclusion (2018 Sweep-up)
Description of the project
To strengthen the capacity of workers, unions and their allies to design and implement strategies that better respond to the multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination that have contributed to economic structures in which women and other groups of workers are excluded from decision-making, the Center will support unions in their efforts to address the historical forms of oppression which contributed to the inequalities that COVID-19 has exacerbated to inform the development of response and recovery plans to address the changing world of work.
Objective 1:To support unions and their allies in their efforts to address the multiple intersecting forms of historical social and economic discrimination that have contributed to existing inequalities exacerbated by COVID-19 to inform their response and recovery plans going forward
Objective 2: To support unions in implementing programming to increase the participation of women and other historically marginalized workers in decision-making to increase their influence on the economic and policy decisions that affect their lives
