Project description
The overall goal of the SC program in Vietnam is to strengthen workers’ capacity and increase access to information so that they can effectively represent their interests and advocate for protection of their rights. A key focus of the SC program in Vietnam will be export-oriented supply chains, in particular the electronics, footwear and leather, garments and textiles, and seafood processing sectors. Key elements of the program will include strengthening worker representation and promoting gender equality in the workplace. The SC will partner with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) to implement the program.

Objective 1: Strengthen union capacity to represent workers in export-oriented industrial zones.

Objective 2: Promote gender equality in trade union organizations and in the workplace.
