Education, Training and Youth Participation in Trade Unions in Ghana

Description
The training aspects of the project includes a 2-day non-residential program tailored and targeting women leaders and members at the district level. In all, 6 districts will be covered each year. It is expected that, 150 women will be involved in the workshops during the period of the project. In the case of the trade union schools, which is a 5-day non-residential program is targeted at both male and female at the regional level. Four regions will be covered with 160 participants. This is also targeted at newly elected officers and other members who have never benefited from any trade union education programmes. About 120 trainers of trainers (ToTs) are also expected to be trained across the country.

Objectives
Trade union members in Ghana, especially women and youth, have the capacity to participate in all union activities and take up leadership roles at all levels.
