“Decent Work: the creation of decent jobs, rights at work, social protection and social dialogue”

duration: 5 years (From 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2026)
budget: not communicated

Description
In its 5-year program, the CGSLB/MSI is strengthening the CNTS for representation and organization of vulnerable workers in general and the informal economy in particular in order to achieve an effective transition to the formal economy – Recommendation 204 of the ILO (training and awareness). The promotion and improvement of social dialogue remain the guidelines for obtaining decent working conditions.
At the national level, the CNTS will put social protection, occupational health and safety (OHS), and gender-based violence (GBV) at the heart of negotiations on the social dialogue agenda, in particular with the revision of the code of labor and social security code. It will lead a campaign with the required alliances (in synergy and complementarities) to achieve the ratification of convention 190 and its implementation as well as those of conventions 155, 183 and 102.
In the workplace, the CNTS will negotiate the introduction of OHS measures, GBV prevention policies and climate change mitigation/adaptation measures through collective labor agreements when possible. It will also contribute (worker dimension) to national climate change strategies and planning.
And finally at the continental and international level, the CNTS will participate in exchanges of good practices, between peers and triangular with other organizations.

Objective
The CNTS has improved social dialogue (SDG 16.7) as a right and instrument of governance for all precarious workers in the formal and informal economy, in contribution to a just transition from the informal economy to the formal economy, (ILO Recommendation 204, SDG 8.3, 8.5, 8.8) paying attention to gender and age equality (SDG 5.1 & 5.2), and the environment (SDG 13.2)

Type of activities
