Main focus :The decent work agenda, the inclusive growth policy development, recommendations to newly adopted policies, laws and rules (EPZ law and SEZ, Social-Safety Strategy paper, SDG) public advocacy campaign
Ship breaking. The focus for 2018-2021 is research and analysis of the international instruments, development of information materials, training of labour inspectors, lobbying with authorities and employers.
Rickshaw Pullers in Dhaka - Building of capacity to organise informal workers such as rickshaw pullers, create public awareness of the special working and living conditions and social safety.
Objectives
Labour movement is effectively involved in policy making of labour market and trade/growth issues
Unions are recognized as social partners. Ship breaking workers collectively influence their working conditions
Rickshaw pullers have obtained some rights within the legal labour market framework and other rules guiding the conditions of the sector
