The University Centre of services for development cooperationb (Il Centro universitario di servizi per la cooperazione allo sviluppo) is the result of the accession of the ’University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in the Memorandum of Understanding of the "University Coordination for Development Cooperation" (meeting of the Academic Senate 17/4 / 07). The university has always been distinguished by a careful participation in the initiatives promoted by the Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGDC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in favor of university cooperation as well as demonstrated by the signing of the Declaration of Intent Villa Madama, sponsored by Min Deodato, born as a result of the Italian cooperation Days (6/7 December 2004, Rome), which led to the establishment of the coordination of Italian Universities for cooperation.
