The successful campaign of women union leaders and feminist and human rights allies that led to the adoption of C190 by the ILO provides a strategic opportunity to build a far-reaching, cross-sectoral, multi-stakeholder, sustainable cross-movement coalition among unions, and allied women’s rights and human rights non-profit organizations. The objective is to expand awareness of the importance of the convention to eradicate GBVH in the workplace as a pathway for gender equality by stressing the need for countries to ratify and implement C190 for it to become effective.
