The CGIL, or Italian General Labour Confederation, is an association that represents workers and the working world. It is Italy’s oldest union organisation, and also the largest, with a total membership of 6 million workers, retirees and young people entering the labour force.
The CGIL Emilia-Romagna was established at the Congress of Association of the Regional Committee of the CGIL held in Bologna on 5 and 6 April 1965.
