The "Confederazione Generale Italiana del Lavoro", General Italian Confederation of Workers, (C.G.I.L.), is a programmatic, unitary, democratic, multi-ethnic organisation of women and men, which promotes the freedom of association, the solider and collective self-defence of dependent and non-dependent workers, of those who work in co-operative or self-organised structures, of employed and unemployed people, or of those who are looking for their first job, of retired women and men, of old women and man.
