Burma: Strengthening Trade union Capacity and Worker Voice
Project description
To strengthen their structural and operational capacity to defend worker rights, the Center will provide training, mentoring, and research support to workplace-level unions and union upper structures in Burma. The Center will identify and cultivate key leaders, staff, and activists within union federation structures, labor NGOs, and workplace-level unions to become effective trainers, mentors, and organizers. The Center will also develop model structures and language for union constitutions, which are critical to building a democratic union movement capable of improving working conditions in the future.
