Building the capacity of unions to respond to climate change and transport.

Transport is a significant and growing source of carbon emissions. A resolution adopted at the ITF Congress in Mexico in 2010 resolved to mobilise transport unions in support of progressive climate change policies. There was also a call for the ITF to develop and implement a comprehensive education programme.

Project objectives:
•Raise the awareness of transport trade union leaders and activists about issues related to climate change and transport.
•Begin to identify the core elements of a long-term trade union response in different transport sectors.
