The Tanzania Plantation and Agricultural Workers Union (TPAWU) represents 42,000 workers (30% of members are women) in the tea, sisal, coffee, sugar, horticultural and other agricultural sectors. At the national level, TPAWU is affiliated to the TUCTA federation, which is affiliated to ITUC, and at the international level, to the IUF.
