The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation (FES) opened in 1965 in Costa Rica its first office in the region.Today, the Foundation has offices in Central America in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. FES programs are coordinated by its two regional offices, located respectively in San Jose and San Salvador.
